  • Hello! Please help - my blueberry plant's gone all wrinkly!

Hi folks, been mooching about here for a bit, finally decided to join in as my new blueberry's been decidedly
I bought it and potted it in nice fresh compost three weeks ago, noticed last week that all but the oldest of it's leaves had become very wrinkly, but no visible critters on them. Brought it into the conservatory as some leaves had vanished too (slugs, I guess), but if anything it's getting wrinklier. Could the soil be too wet for it? Would that make the leaves wrinkle?
    Help please!

    What compost did you use?

What water are you using to water it?

What SMS6 is saying is that blueberries need ericatious compost and they will not grow well and may die if you use ordinary potting compost. Mine are outside in pots and I have never had a problem with them being waterlogged, just make sure you have plenty of drain holes in the bottom.

          Welcome to the Vine

There is a section entitled 'feeling fruity' for future ref.

Apart from ericaetious sp.! compost Water it with rainwater(not tap) as that is slightly acidic

Ah, I only used ordinary potting compost. Shall repot asap.
I water all my plants with rainwater, and have plenty drainage holes, so no problem there.
            Many thanks indeed!
