I grew these last year outside & they did ever so well, just need plenty of support.

You can grow that type very well outside but it'll be quite a while before it's safe to put them out by which time they could be pretty big!!!!!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I grow Marketmore very successfully outdoors, even here in NE England!

To be honest the amount of cukes my family and I (doesn't that sound regal?) eat in a year can quite easily be grown on one outdoor plant!

I personally wouldn't waste greenhouse space on them!

No support for mine, I just let them scramble around on the bottom!

try this,a strong stick say 1nch square, either tie or nail bits of wood or cane horizoncaly aprox 8inch long, about 1foot apart,so it forms a sort of ladder, the plant can be trained up in a spiral around the stick and tied to it,the idea being the cross pieces will give more support and stop the plant from slipping down,it also saves room in the garden, this method can also be used for other crops,by using different sizes of wood and shapes of frame.

I just used the normal cane wigwam for mine, but shorter than what i used for my beans etc.
