can you compost coffee?

I composted mine together with kitchen waste (fruit peel, onion peel,etc) plus Rabbit and Cavy/ Guinea Pig waste and bedding.

I put coffee remains into my dalek - and yes, also give em to the slugs

I not only compost our own coffee, I pick up the (free) bags of used coffee from a global coffee chain operating here and use those for compost and slug deterrant too!!

I compost coffee grounds but read somewhere that in large quantities they can make the compost more acidic, also acid loving plants like azaleas like them sprinkled round them to give them a boost.

Acidic eh. Does that mean that the Blueberry's would like it like they do Ericaceous compost?

I think so, give it a go I wouldn't think it would do any harn in small quantities

I chuck out the coffee grounds each morning onto the lawn. The only caffeine-powered lawn in Norfolk perhaps? Been doing it for years, lawn very healthy and happy and only long-term effect I can see is that the lawn is oh so slowly getting higher!!

Perhaps I should start chucking them into the dalek....
