    i wish i had and will do with my next lot if the same befalls them, they are ready to prick out now so hopefully not to late. Thanks for the advice sbp.

      clay garden why dont you buy a two teir mini plastic greenhouse,or a cold frame you can stick them anywhere in the garden just to start hardening off your plants ready for there final positions in the garden,thats what i started off with,windowsill then plastic green house then final position it worked for me last year. i have moved on now to a ploy greenhouse a cold frame two raised beds and a plastic greenhouse!

            I guess it doesn't work on XP? and it's got some awful user reviews, might give this one a miss. The online one can't find my postcode or town! Maybe I don't exist

              You can have a weather 'gadget' on igoogle - I've not used igoogle before, but spent this morning playing with all the info and then set that as my Homepage.
