i am growing the double bicolour; strawberry popcorn, and F1 supersweet. I'll be growing in 3 blocks; the strawberry close to home so that I can keep an eye on it; and the other 2 at the lottie. I succession sow them anyway, for a longer season; and in the hope that they don't all come good in the same week!

I grew the 'Double Standard' Bicolour Sweetcorn from real seeds last year - very nice it was too. As well as growing it again this year I'm getting some other open pollinated varieties from a seed swap (not sure what they are yet).
I have a suspicion I heard that some F1 supersweets do not like being grown alongside other varities - I think I heard it effects the flavour ??
Aside from that, if your not saving seed (and again I think you need ALOT of plants to do that) any cross pollination from other open pollinated varieties will not have any bearing on flavour...
of course someone clever will be able to put me right if I'm talking cobblers ;-)
