I was generously given 4 courgette seedlings by a freecycle user. They are about 5 inches tall. When can I plant them? any other advice welcome
Thanks!
Tracy
They are summer squashes, ie tender - frost will kill them, cold will slow them down. Do not plant out until it gets warmer (that'll be August in Glasgow )

Oh no dont put them out yet sweetie, you could try hardening them off, maybe putting a plastic bottle aorund them to keep them warm. I would plant out middle of may, keeping an eye out for frost.

You certainly weren't kidding when you said that about tomatos TS. I've stopped hardening off 3 off 6 of mine. 3 12" pots have just been granted permission to use the kitchen sill. 3 days out side has made 2" difference in height
