  • Yellow Leaves

    Hi,

I was looking outside today in the veg patch, and I notices that the ends of some of the leaves on some of my garlics and shallots were yellow and dying slightly. The plants seem to be growing fine and it only seems to be the oldest leaves that are doing this. Is this normal, or do I need to do something about it?

    Cheers,

    Steven

Mine are doing the same. Not all, just a few and just at the ends. I'm not worrying. You can worry for both of us if you like!

Mine have been in pretty bad shape this winter - I am pretty sure that these symptoms occur when the roots are damaged by cold. At least, that's what's happened to mine.

The central leaves are healthier so I am keeping my fingers' crossed that growth will continue.

Weed around they and give them a boost with a dressing of blood fish and bone....It's been a bit wet and miserable this year. I expect I would have turned a funny colour sat out there too.
