Salad crops that are flowering

Are they now out of use? Can I still pick the leaves or should I just compost them?

You can still pick the leaves and taste them Gryfon, but if they are flowering they're likely to be dry, tough and not very palatable and so for the compost heap. It's a shame but if you replant your rocket it will be there in no time.

Thanks. I wasn't too keen on them anyway as it was from that Nice 'n' Spicy packet we got given free.

However this will make room for all these blimin lettuces I have!
