    My onions have been massacered by fox's. They have broken the leaves on every plant i have. Is that the end of the crop or will they survive and bring themselves round?

    hi - I had a similar problem with the tops of my garlic getting eaten and they've grown back...as one of the Grapes suggested they might! I'm thinking it might be the same for onions?! No doubt someone with a bit more knowledge will be along to advise

      I'm pretty sure they'll send up new leaves FarmerJim, as long as the roots aren't too disturbed? I'd leave em in and see what happens

        not the slightest bit of root disturbence. I think they do it just to be viscious. It was proberly the cubs!

          If the growing tip is still intact they should put up more leaves. Would sharp sticks or holly snippings shoved into the ground deter them do you think?
