phew! I think I've had a lucky escape! I put runner beans,french beans,2 kinds of pumkins and 2 kinds of butternut squash to sprout on kitchen paper 12 days ago.I left them in a bedroom thinking they would be fine. Nothing happened! -2 days ago I noticed the runner beans were going mouldy and realised the room was perhaps too cold (stupid weather!),brought them downstairs -some in airing cupboard and rest on warm window ledges.Result!! hurrah!! sprouting already and potted some up today.

I sort of had the opposite problem, I had my tiny basil and chilli seeds sprouting away and very nicely they were doing too, until i turned around the tray they were in and they must of been too close to the radiator and shriveled up!!!
I quickly put them back to their original position and yay! today they are standing proud again, just shows how delicate they are.
