    I know with peas the more you pick the more you get but what about broad beans and courgettes

    I'm not sure about broad beans but its definitely true of courgettes and other beans, climbing, french, runner etc

        Well as soon as they are big enough to eat, I always pick the courgettes.. can't get enough of them until they go mad and we have a surplus, or they hide under their big leaves and become marrows! Not sure about broan beans, as you have to pinch the tops out to stop the blackfly, which effectively stops them growing..

          I've been picking my broad beans as soon as they get big enough but they haven't produced any more flowers so I'm not sure how they can keep cropping. I thought I'd have a go at cutting them back when I've had the last few and seeing if they produce a new crop.
