  • Planting blueberries in flower

I have two plants in pots in my garden, about 3 years old and want to transfer them to my allotment. They are currently in flower - is this a bad time to transplant them? Should I wait until they have finished fruiting?

It is generally accepted that pot grown trees and bushes can be planted any time of the year. Just keep well watered and try not to disturb the root ball when you take them out of the pot.

Good to know, thanks. Although I'm actually not brave enough to do it until after the growing season so my gooseberry is staying put. It has loads of blossom and baby fruit, and this is the first year I've managed to get this far without losing half the leaves to pests!
Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.
