  • shady veggies

I live in Northwest Pa. My garden goes from full sun for 4-5 hours in one section to indirect sun in other sections

Other than leafy vegetables what vegtables will do ok-well in the indirect sun section?

Hmm, hard to say - most veg need lots of sunlight to do well, especially the fruiting kind. I was going to suggest lettuce and spinach, since leafy veg are often less likely to bolt if they're not too warm, but you've covered that already.

I did a quick Google and found this:

I'd agree with at least two of those Eyren! I have a shady spot under a tree which won't grow much. I intend planting a bed of Comfrey and my Rhubarb and a few raspberries.

There are different types of shade tho, shade cast by buildings and shade cast by trees for instance.
If the trees lose there leaves in winter it's possible to grow winter veg because the shade will only be there in the summer!

My shade is mostly trees and living in NW Pa. there are no winter veggies

How about any herbs such as dill or basil? I had really good luck with zuchinni last year as long as the fruit developed before the chpmunks ate the flowers. Eggplant or broccoli?
