The URLs posted by Slugcrusher needed a dot before the htm at the end - so, tomato.htm rather than tomatohtm.
An interesting idea, I've never seen anything like it before. I wonder what Bob Flowerdew would think?

I'm actually working on doing this. I've already put the tomatoes in their respective buckets (I'm using 2- and 3-gallon buckets instead of 5-gallon because they're much lighter), and I've been building a special frame to hang them on. If you look at the picture on the minifarmhomestead site, mine is similar, except that instead of one vertical pole, there are two, 8 feet apart, and a 10' 4x4 on top with five 2' poles crossing the top pole. This way I can hang 10 buckets. Yesterday I put up a special wind-block because we've been having a strangely windy year; and now I'm connecting a special sprinkler line going up the pole so I can put drippers in each bucket. As soon as I get the final touches up, I'll see if I can post any pictures. Right now I'm extremely interested in creating new plants from the branches I've cut off the larger plants...that sounds VERY promising.
Hi treetops,
It's called 100's and 1000's. I am growing some for the first time this year and they seem to be doing really well. Those and my tumbling toms are currently 1 to a hanging basket and they are already producing loads of flowers and even some baby toms. They look as though they will be great for kids ( my 11 year old is looking forward to eating them!)
