I've been asked to provide some veg plants in small pots for an ecofayre on 20th July. What could I sow that would fit in a small pot and would be worth buying so late in the season?
Tracey, Don't think of it as "late in the season" but early in the next season (autumn/winter) so mini late-summer and overwintering edibles might prove popular at an eco-fayre. If you supplied a sheet of tips on how to grow on (even in a window box or pot on the window sill) that might also hit the right notes. If you look to see what established organic growers like Delfland are delivering June/July/August (range of brassicas, cut again salads etc) you'll hopefully come up with ideas aplenty (see e.g Delfland Nurseries Limited July Delivery ).
