  • PSB in the Flower Border??

Would it work? I'm struggling for space in my raised beds so I wondered if PSB would grow happily beside my flowers?? Does it need full sun or is partial shade ok?

dont know about the sun aspect but i am going to grow a plant or two in the flower border as well as kale.i also have two raised beds and one flower border turned into a veg border.so the right side of my garden is a mini allotment and the other side a flower border x

PSB needs very firm soil (trample it with your boot)
It's greedy - it won't appreciate competing with other plants for food, water and light.
It nearly always needs netting against Cabbage White and pigeons.

Well the firm soil in the borders shouldn't be a problem, my bloody dog has trampled on it so much, that most of the other stuff is either crushed or completely dead. I might give it a try in the sunniest of the borders

I don't think PSB is the prettiest of plants for a flower border but I suppose it will give a bit of winter greenery!
