Gritty sandy soil - Sprouts?

Hi
Sorry to disagree; but we have grown Sprouts and Calabrese in gritty sandy soil before and they gave us loads of produce. We had to take up 'crazy paving' to do so and it worked a treat. Gave us a hugh bed when everything else we grew had to be in pots.
As long as you pop some decent compost in the bottom of the hole, firm the plants in well - really well, and give them a good feed regularly; they should be fine.
