We always start ours off in modules in the greenhouse, then put them in the cold frame before planting them outside

I wouldn't like to eat peas from a seed that had been soaked in parrafin. Part of the point of growing my own is that they have had no chemical interference. I start them in modules, root trainers, seed trays - anything I have handy. They are said to resent root disturbance but I've never found that a problem. Then when you plant out you have a good looking, healthy plant at each station. THEN you have to watch out for the pigeons! Till the plants get a bit bigger.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
