Well I have done it, I managed to grow a radish and it tasted lovely!!

I was even gonna add a pic of it as so pleased with myself! (by the way I have lots more growing lol!), but i dont know how to!!!!

I am so proud of myself and thanks to all you Grapes, who are offering fab advice and help to a novice gardener!

    Well done you!!!

It is a magical moment picking your first homegrown edible. I get excited every time I do it!!
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Well done! It's a great feeling isn't it? I remember last year (my first year on the plot), when we had our first meal where I'd grown all the veg, what a buzz I had! So proud

                Well done

The best part is, it just gets better.

                Every year gets better.

Been thinning my radishes tonight, so eating the leaves tonight in a salad

Well done for getting it before the Slimy Ones did. They tend to have a little nibble out of each of my radishes, never eating a whole one. Perhaps they have a 3 second memory : "oh, this is hot, yuk ... I'll try this plant next door ... yuk, that's a bit hot, I'll try the next one ..."

BTW.. your guineas will love the radish tops/greens

hopefully trying my first thing grown on my allotment (had a few courgettes and toms at home last year so not my official first) tonight plan is to do spinach and ricotta canneloni and salad with my own spinach and salad.. hoping there's enough and the slugs haven't found it
                            I have a dream:
a dream that, one day, chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
