Do rabbits eat squash/pumpkin foliage

Hallo there

I am a newbie, just joined 2day, and a fairly new lottie holder in Cornwall. I have grown some super squash plants from seed, and they are ready to go out. Problem: allotment has a burgeoning rabbit population, and I generally protect all my plots with rabbit netting. I also have pigeon plunderers, so some of my plots are also bird protected. Will rabbits and/or pigeons munch on my pumpkin foliage, or is this one crop they won't bother with? Netting everything gets expensive!!! Any help would e so appreciated.

I don't think they eat thick/furry leaves......I'm sure a more Rabbity experienced person will let you know for sure.

I have two pet rabbits and they wont. But of course that does not mean that the wild ones won't. Sorry that was not much help was it?!?!?

hi, we grew pumpkins and butternut squash last year on our rabbit infested allotment with no netting at all. Bugs bunny doesn't seem keen on them at all. Also safe was the potato foliage, but everything else was dinner, even all our precious new raspberry canes. We have just had to fence them in too.
