I have got some sweetcorn plants - both miniature cobs and the 'proper' stuff and plants are now 6 -10 inches tall. I need to plant them out but am not sure how deep into the soil they need to be - they are in pots at the moment, probably in 3-4 inches of peat. I know the weather has got a bit chillier but these plants are getting too tall for my cold frame! I could cover them at night if I put them into my raised bed.
I had really disappointing results with corn last year and as we adore it, want it to be a success this time. Any advice would be most welcome. I am in sunny-ish Stoke on Trent by the way.
