  • Bolted garlic

I have grown two varieties of garlic ths winter (sowed them late Nov), a purple variety which I planted from last years crop, this looks fine. The second variety, San Marco (I think) is a white garlic bulb, this appears to have bolted. I pulled the flower stalks off. What has gone wrong, did I plant them too early? Should I just lift them now? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Your Garlic has not bolted some varieties do run to flower there is no problem some people cook the flower stems i think they are called whips they are used to flavour salads as well . no problem do not worry all is well jacob
