Tomato leaves

I grow toms in grow bags, and in the past have cut off the bottom leaves to make watering easier. Not sure if this is wise though. Any ideas?

Yes, it is good practice. Helps light get to the lower trusses to ripen the fruit and also focuses the energy into making fruit. Commercial growers remove a lot of leaf.

i always take of any bottom leaves that are going over,i also remove more as the trusses have grown and are waiting to rippen,as this lets the sunlight in,and have had no bother at all,and pinch of any new side shoots as they grow,
i have seen adverts for a book,{american ?}were apparently all leaves exept 3? are taken of,it's said by doing this all the energy goes to the toms instead of the leaves as well,the idea is the ones left on draw up the energy,if anyone out there knows any more would love to know,come to think,i will try 1 as an experiment.

I often remove alot of my tom leaves, mainly because I grow them so close together as I'm so tight for space.

Thanks Guys, I was a bit worried whether I should continue this practice as i had blight last year and lost the lot. Thought it might be connected.

There's never any more than 3 pairs of leaves on my tom plants

Are toms an addiction or what?
