Top Tasting Tomato

At the beginning of last years tomato season, I received a few seeds for a tomato which originated in Romania. I decided to grow two plants, one in a tub, the other in the ground and I had great results with both. Not only were the tomatoes all over 300g, but they tasted terrific and we loved them. I had a bad year for seeds so didn't save many, but have passed some on to a couple of grapes to try this season in U.K.

Hmm. I haven't heard of it but it does sound great. It's obviously impressed you, as I see it's your avatar! How is it going for the grapes here? Anyone got any early season reports? (Just terminally nosey, I am!)

All Tomatoes are growing outside, Ildi, Black Pineapple, Tiger and Marmande, and all have flower buds with 3 or 4 having open flowers. Lots of salad leaves and chard. Broadbeans (sutton) flowering well. Parsnips, carrots seem to be doing well although some of my parsnip seedlings were dug up by local cat Courgette and squash ok as are beetroot, red and spring onions. 2 of my 6 potato bags completely trashed by slugs. They had to be my favourites too (Charlotte). This is my first year so not sure if all is going according to plan, but I'm pretty darn pleased so far. Oh, am on my 4th sowing of climbing beans as all others have gone the same way as my spuds.
Last but not least, grafted my Tomtato about 2 weeks ago, cut off top potato growth 3 days ago but will leave it a little longer before I have the nerve to cut away the tomato root

Is it one of the Nicoletas from Mcsee?

I've got the Nicoleta from Mcsee (thanks!) and have got 5 plants doing well. Potted on this week to 5" pots and they've started to shoot up. Just waiting for a bit of sun to bring them on - I'll let people know how they turn out and will certainly save some seed to pass around.
