where to get asparagus seeds?

I have google it and can only find one place 'seedfest' that has any seeds. Has anyone used them before?

I had 12 crowns planted in march and 10 of them have rotted away. 2 have spindly ferns so think those are ok, so I would like to try with some seeds for next year.

Anyone know anywhere else to get some? Do woolies or wilkos have asparagus seeds?

Shame...I have loads you could have had!

Get on with it they need sowing soon. Very easy to do really...I soak seed overnight first. I have kept my doz in 2 litre pots for another year to weed out the females. I have a further 36 that I sowed in modules last month now coming on it 4" pots.

I knew I needed to get a wriggle on so that's why I ordered some - ordered globe artichoke too. Might be pretty in the flower beds.

I used a link from you Geo, not got ebay - I leave that to OH! Would be tooo tempting and we'd be bankrupt! lol

also been on the T&M site for half price seeds, mostly flowers I picked up, want to get max use out of the new green house and might save me endless trips to the garden centres.....

Mine are Unwins too. Connovers Colossal.
I gave up on the first batch cos they took so long (not surprising, I overwatered them) and sowed more - so now I have 12 seedlings ready pot on and a module tray of 24 that haven't come up yet!!
