Leggy Runners

[Corn on the Rob]

My runner bean plants are very leggy. Should I plant as they are or should I nip the tops out and hope they bush up a bit? Any advice would be appreciated.

I think it you nip out the tops it will stop them from climbing as that is the growing / climbing tip. But someone who actually knows will be here soon!

Just plant them out with a tall (8') cane each to grow up. DON'T nip the top off, or as Demeter says, it's bye-bye plant
