  • ? mouldy marrows

Do i have a problem here? i have a large raised bed planted up with courgette plants and 1 marrow plant they all look healthy enough with a few flowers and some fruit appearing but it looks as if the baby marrows are going mouldy at the end it seems as the flowers die off so does the fruit what am i doing wrong?

If the female flowers weren't pollinated, then the fruit would rot. I don't know what your weather has been like, but if it's been mainly cold and wet, there might not have been enough bees around to do the job. If they were pollinated, it is best to pick the flower off once it has started to die off, because that can cause the fruit to rot too.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

does this mean that i have to pollinate them myself ? if so does that mean the same for the courgettes too? Do any of them self pollinate or do you have to buy a special variety (I grew them all from seed)

There have been a few posts lately about pollinating by hand. The general consensus seems to be that you can do it to help the plant along if you feel the need, but if you don't the plant will still sort itself out it just might take another few days or a week before there are the right flowers open at the right time for pollination to happen!
Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.
