LMAO As a meat-eater I can say that I've never 'inserted' an onion... (Although I can think of one or two people that might benefit!)

Might have to give them a try next year, although I haven't quite got the hang of onions from seed yet...

I'm a meat eater too and I've never "inserted" an onion.
Or was "meat eater" a euphemism??

Anyway thanks Snadger I've ordered a couple of packs on your recommendation.

Now how do I grow them? Sow in January and plant out in spring?

          Cheers

Most of my Red Baron onions that were supposed to be heat treated have gone to seed. I picked off the seed head but they were quite persistant trying to put out a further seed head so I have pulled them up now for kitchen use.
