  • Courgettes....advice

a friend of mine in his wisdom (as if i don't have enough) has bought me 2 courgette plants (like my 8 plants ain't enough already) from the italian range at our local GC. they are Tromba De Albegna.
Can you advise the growing style for this snake/curly trumpet plant.
does it bush or does it trail/climb help greatly appreciated.
this will be a battle from the heart

I think I saw that variety on a gardening TV show, a lady they featured had it in her poytunnel, and it had trailed almost the entire length of her polytunnel, which was reasonably big. I'd say it was trailing/climbing, but if you want it to go upwards rather than along the ground, you'd have to tie it in as it grows. the fruits look great too!!! I'm growing a similar variety this year too!!

They are worth the space! I have grown a couple alongside my courgettes for the last 3 years. Cooked the texture is like a cross between a courgette and a squash and makes a welcome change. They also seem to fruit for a longer season. Don't make good marrows though.
