Hi, can i have some advice possibly?
I have managed to grow some chilli from seed (the mixed packet that came with a pevious grow your own mag)
They have got to about 2ins high and thats it i have some in big pots, little pots, inside green house and outside sunny but sheltered, they get miracle grow with water one a week. Any ideas as how to have a happy bunch with lots of chillis to eat?

Sounds okay to me, I have done pretty much the same as you with some inside some out and fed one a week, thay are all looking okay with some small fruit coming on !! Good luck !!

I seem to have the same problem, they stopped growing at about two inches high. The plants look healthy enough but I would have thought by now they would be a lot bigger?

Too bad you don't mentioned the cultivar name, I know that most Habanero chili tend to have slow start but once it reach maturity, it grow fast and produce well.
Give it some time and good luck.

Please remember the weather's been really iffy so far. I've found that my chillies have stopped growing when it's been cold and wet (even though they're in the greenhouse), and then when we get a warm sunny day they put on a growth spurt. Don't worry, they should all catch up eventually.

My chilli plants are split between the windowsill in our flat (just the one there), a few in my parents' conservatory and a couple in one of those plastic greenhouses in their garden.

I'm growing cayenne and jalepeno.

They look fab, really healthy and with 6 - 8 sets of true leaves each, although no flowers yet. They seem to be in the right size pots at the mo (I guess about 6 inches, pretty deep though).

What size pots do you think they'll need to end up in? I'm worried I'll end up taking over my poor parents' conservatory and garden - not sure there's room!

I have been growing Tabasco, Jalapeno and Habanero.
They were started as seed indoors, then hardened off and are now under glass at the allotment.
Sadly the larger plants (Tabasco) have all been affected by the sun as their top leaves have entirely dried out!
Any ideas how to perk them up again?
