The answer to that is a just as simple as the question. Yes! I only put my seed in the ground two weeks ago and they are just poking through now. The raised temeratures of summer and the additional daylight will make them grow faster so thay soon catch up to earlier planted seed.
Haven't sown mine yet either! I grew lots last year Bolthardy and Forono, the majority of which were wasted (you can only eat SO many beetroot!) This year I am sowing Detroit late as I like my beet about golf ball size and sweet!

Mine are heritage - some white and some other ones. I was going to plant today but it tipped it down and the ground was so wet. Did the french beans good anyway.
