  • Nemaslug and resowing advice please!

Hello! Please could an experienced gardener offer some advice?

We have suffered many losses due to slugs this year, especially emerging seedlings. We are organic so my husband applied a biological control called nemaslug yesterday. We used this last year and it was very effective - I am cross that I didn't bother earlier this season.

My question is - when can I start sowing again? Having lost 5 sowings of radishes already, I don't want to waste even more seeds. The nemaslug says it takes a week to work. Does anyone have experience with this? Is that accurate? I could just wait a couple of weeks but it keeps getting later and later. I know I can sow the radishes quite late but a lot of my seed packets are reaching the end of their sowing times!

Isn't nemaslug only supposed to last for 6 weeks, I'd give it about a week before planting out. Could you not start you seedlings off in some old guttering first then slide the contents into your prepared nematode home in about a weeks time.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
