  • Mulching?

Can I mulch with used compost that I had new potatoes in?

The ground in my tiny veg patch is really dry!

i asked someone that recently and basically, if the plants were healthy (ie blight) then it was ok to use the compost. i want to mix it into the soil outside rather than compost bin it as i dont really have space.

      Thanks. I don't think they've had blight...just a bit of slug/snail attack!

      Were lovely potatoes though..mmmmmmm!

I must say I usually spread the old compost on my flower beds. Never done any harm and keeps the weeds down.

I also put my used potato compost on my flower beds. I had to get rid of it somehow and as I didn't have blight I figured it would be okay. I used the rest to earth up my maincrop potatoes.
