actually it doesn't come under greater manchester at all, its Tameside, but on anything official Tameside doesn't exist, as far as i'm concerned its lancashire, but lancashire is even bigger than saying manchester ....... and how many people actually know where ashton is without searching for it ...... but if i walk south for 5 mins from my house i'm is cheshire too ..... maybe i'm just a bit nuts then
