    Yes, in blocks.
We grew them last year. Disappointing crop. Won't waste the space on them again.

Cloud, you say that you are growing mini corn. If that's the case then you can grow it how you want. Because you pick the mini cobs before they are germinated, so pollination is not necessary. Hope this helps.

i was looking at these the other day, but didn't buy any, think i have enough for this year ..... so if you pick them before they are pollinated, does that mean you have a massive plant with a tiny little cob on? or am i being thick

So I take it that a mini corn is an un pollinated normal corn?

No you aren't being thick lynda66, that's exactly what happens, you get three'ish cobs on a plant that grows probably six feet plus some. That is why not everyone grows them. See Two Sheds reply at the top.

Not quite. I don't know the science behind it , but you cant use a normal corn plant for mini corn. As i'm led to believe. I could be corrected here if i'm wrong.

HaHa Just grow the real ones. They arent as tall and you get three big ones per plant. Just remember to sow them in Blocks

too late for that, cos i already planted them in 2 rows, mind you, they are next to each other so hopefully they'll be ok, i've over planted everything,(just in case) cos half my garden isn't ready for anything to grow in it yet, so if they grow, and i have to move them, i'll replant them in a block

Minicorn seed has been specially bred to produce better, smaller cobs rather than the larger ones of traditional corn.

It's rather like the difference between courgette and marrow plants.

Yeah but if you leave a courgette on the plant long enough it becomes a marrow
