      • Today I didn't harvest anything but that's because I'm in India

        ...instead...

I had to cope with my wife telling me how succulent the radishes we planted taste!

              • Oh, and some rhubard that was more or less hanging off the plant as i was weeding round it, i know i'm not supposed to in the 1st year but it would be such a shame to let it go to waste

Allotment dinner (except for the tuna and the custard)

Today: more potatoes, more lettuce, probably some onions and courgettes.

                      • Today I has harvested 5lb of raspberries, 8 courgettes, a cabbage, a cucumber, 6 portions of broccolli, 12 baby carrots and a cauli! Not a bad haul at all! Theres loads more rasps coming too, I'd hazard a guess that the 35 foot fedge is gonna give us at least another 25 lb of rasps before its finished! Me feels a jam making session is definitely on the cards this week!

                            • This weekend i have harvested the last of the 'pentland javelin' to turn into potato salad on Monday. The second earlies 'Anya' have been lifted ( its just a tiny crop grown from five spare tatties from a bag of sainsburys finest). I accidental lifted a Robinta from my main crop and they are looking rather good already ! another six weeks will have them perfect me thinks.

                              • New potatoes (Arran Pilot), courgettes, broad beans, Summer PSB, strawberries, raspberries. Plus I found the PSB grandson and I harvested yesterday. Got home, unpacked bags, started dinner - NO PSB!! Grandson had gone home by now so phoned his Mum. "Can you ask Caleb what he did with the broccoli please". Reply from Grandson (aged 3) "It's on the floor Nanny". Sure enough - went over again today and there was our bag of PSB on the ground near the tap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BYW he also went home with tiny potatoes and garlic bulbs in his pocket - hope Mum checked his pockets before putting trousers in the wash.
