Last of our Summer Calabrese (for now at least). And either tomorrow or day after, there's mini-caulis with my name on (!) and Trousers has got HIS name on one topped with a cheese sauce. There's a huge surprise....!

Clare, where Strawberries are concerned, they are master....!
Pick ripe ones 'of an evening' marginally before you'd need to woof them?
Hull them as necesary and halve them (if you want to)
Pour Alcohol of your choice over them
Leave them, stir them. Leave them.
Serve them with attitude and whatever else you want to Angel.

And don't forget to dip your finger into the alcohol or the cream before or AS you serve them..... JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN....?!

Clare, you're an excellent cook darling, and neither you nor Klever Keith need an excuse anyway! As long as you don't before the Sun has gone over the yard-johnnie and you've put your knitting down, you'll be fine, trust me.....

Sunday, harvested a big pot of new potatoes to try to impress the neighbors who came for BBQ!
Yesterday, some gorgeous letucce (can't get enough, it is so ymmy!) for tea. Seen my first tiny courgette (got very excited!). Also picked my first peas, had enough for one big serving (not too bad I thought!!). Our little boy picked the first red strawberries before the squirrels got them!
                      Today, some more lettuce....
                      Tomorrow will be a surprise.......

Yesterday :- peas, shallots, baby carrots, radish, rats tails, spinach, bronze arrow lettuce. The whole lot were chopped up for a lovely salad with new potatoes. We had scampi with it but I haven't worked out yet how to produce the scampi on the lottie.
