Firstly Wolves are my favourite animal and were here before we were!
Dogs just mess everywhere and smell!
Cats which are domesticacted would not know how to catch a mouse!
The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

tell that to my cat ..... he's left me 3 in the last few weeks

dogs only mess everywhere when they arent trained to poo on command, mine never goes until she's told to, and then it's cleaned up, and she doesn't smell, she has a bath at least every 2 weeks

and yes wolves are lovely, but you can't cuddle em

We went to the Bath and West show a few weeks back and I went in to 'pet' the wolves; they were lovely! (added it to my list of animals, having cuddled tigers and cheetahs on honeymoon last year).

how do you get parsnips to germinate in a toilet roll holder?
thought I'd change the subject back to gardening from penguins etc!

                            FOX WARS ON TWO FRONTS1!!!!!!!
Rich - I sympathise with you so much and I'm terrified the same thing is going to happen at my plot. I think in South London we have more foxes than the rest of the country put together! I'm just starting to clear a VERY overgrown plot in Grove Park and twice when I've been there, with my dog (which I think really gets them going), they have pinched our lunch and scent marked my jacket which I left on the ground. We left the plot for a few minutes to have a little socialise with other plot-holders and when we got back bag with lunch in had disappeared except for a few tell-tale scraps of the bag left in the hedge. My pork pie, banana and bonio had gone - but he'd tipped out the water bottle onto the grass. To add insult to injury he then came onto the opposite plot and sat down and stared me in the eyes and barked at us for over a minute!

The second time I caught him running off with my jaffa cakes in a bag in his mouth stuck out before him, after again, tipping the water bottle out! You've got to admire the wiley things, and it was very amusing - but if they ruin my veg, there'll be hell to pay!!!!!

I've got to think up my own wiley plan!

                            Good luck !
