Cool - a "my garden" picture thread!

Looks like a nice start you've made

I've got a similar plastic greenhouse - it's so great, I can hardly stand not to have a huge glass house!

And your "tiny" garden is loads bigger than mine, I'm actually a bit envious lol. I don't have any proper pics of my back garden as it is usually too messy to photograph lol but since we're talking about doing amazing things to front gardens... I'm actually quite proud of what I've done to mine this spring!

Here is what it looked like at the end of March after I'd cleared up all the weeds and the border plants planted by the housebuilders (Lavender and some random evergreen thing - I like lavender but have it elsewhere):

May as well show ours too then.

Our garden on March 5th just after digging the whole bloody thing up.

Our garden the next day, with new turf and a new veg bed at the end.
The gap in the fence was due to resent high winds and loads of rain.

The veg beds are now bursting at the seems with veg. Will take new pics tomorrow (if it doesn't rain) and put on our site.

EDIT:

Here are the veg beds now.

The childrens' bean, peas and carrots are growing in the brown and green square tubs behind thier swings.
Our runner and french beans are growing up 3 of our arches that are over the footpath. Two apple trees in big tubs on bottom patio next to plastic greenhouse, and 4 sweetcorns in tubs opposite.

We also got 2 sheds, the kids play area and a top patio (soon to be decking). It's amazing what you can squeeze into a 75' x 25' garden.

oooooooooo can i show mine off too??

the whole thing was about 3 foot in weeds till i started

there wasn't enough soil, so i had to save it all, and i couldn't afford turf, so it was all done by hand, hence the piles of rocks, lumps, and fine soil for the top

the bit in the middle is now a lawn, the pond has been transformed, and behind the pond is my tropical bit ..... my veggies are in the bottom right bed, and the whole of the bottom is dug ready for some veg to go in.

oh and the patio thing on the right, covers a grotty drain cover, and is now the birdy zone

Lots of good inspirational photos to show what can be done!

I noticed that a lot of us suffer from the scourge of the council wheelie bins though. I know you can buy stick on covers to brighten them up & hide them behind trellis etc. but they don't half get in the way. Our council gave us two additional recycling wheelie bins recently & we literally had no where to put them & they didn't do small sizes & after a lot of phonecalls & visits I eventually got them to let us share the neighbour's rubbish & recycling bins as he lives alone & none of us produce much rubbish.

We bought a bin "cupboard" which is basically like a mini shed. Quite expensive, but hides them away nicely.

And before everyone baulks at the prices - I'm sure you can make them cheaper...

I'm really lucky, i have an alleyway down the side of my house,with a path and a soil bit that nothing will grow in, that i have just acquired 2 gates for, one each end, i'm going to gravel the soil at the side and put all my bins and composter/s there, with a climbing plant up the fence at the side of the gate you won't see them ....... that's my project for when the garden looks beautiful, it'll get there eventually

I just moved house in Feb and there was no garden to start with - just grass and gravel. I've got some veg beds started and going well, but all the ornamental aspects are still to do.
You can see my new veg beds, and my old ornamental.
Hope I can do something similar again.
