    Hi Ladies and Gents

I am planning on co planting flower and veg next year in my front garden as I cant really do it in my back garden. I love foxglove flowers and think they are so beautiful. I am told that they are very dangerous if you tried to eat them, which I have no plans on doing, but, could I plant them amongst vegetables?

The main things to think about with foxgloves (apart from the poisonous aspect) is the size of the plant - they can get pretty tall and quite wide, will they cast a shade on your veg, or intrude into their space, water & food supply? - and also they will self-seed, so might start popping up next year in the space allocated for veg.
If you're sure that neither of those things is a problem, then I can't see why not?!

Very usefull information thank you, I think I mights pass on the fox glove idea then. I think I need to think about what veg I want to grow first then decide what can grow along side them.

We have foxgloves everywhere in our garden - they do self-seed like nobodies business! I wouldn't have them in with the veg for that reason and because of their size, but it would be good to plant some nearby to attract the bees - it should help with pollination I use lavender on our allotment for the same reason - but in pots so that I can move them around to where I want the bees to concentrate their efforts.
