    hi just got my patch going , and i have a big empty gap, what can i plant now

    You can plant salad crops, peas, might get away with runner beans & french beans if your quick.

      Carrots, radish and I think, some broccoli (but then I could be way off on that).

        The oriental type greens do better after mid-summer too. They are less likely to bolt. all the pak-choi types, mustard greens etc.
        Also, in July you can sow some spring cabbage. Then plant it into its final position in early September.
        Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

          Sow:
          Lettuce, radish, winter cabbage, savoy, purple sprouting broccoli, spring onions, carrots, beetroot, kolhrabi, courgettes, runner beads, French beans, peas, leaf beet spinach, pak choi, swede, turnips, salad leaves

          Plant:
          Brassicas, lettuce, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, leeks, main crop spuds, marrows, squashes courgette, sweetcorn, aubergine, peppers, herbs, strawberries
