  • Winter Swede

It's the fourth week of Winter here and I always remember my grandfather telling me if you want good tasting Swede, they have to have had a frost on them. Not sure whether it's true or not, but I'm hoping to get some Swede from what I'm growing - if the tops on these are any indication.

    Those plants look pretty healthy.
The frost thing I've only heard that said about parsnips.
The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

And Brussel sprouts are always best after a frost.

Whilst typing the above reply, I was probably supposed to be doing homework. My excuse: I'm hooked!
