i need some long bamboo canes, has anyone any idea where i can get some, my usual you can find anything at wilkies hasn't worked lol, and B & Q don't seem to have them either ...... helpppppppppppp
I think it's the wrong time of year to be looking Lynda. Most places get a good stock in the spring and then when they are sold out (to the people who already have their bean and pea frames up as we speak!) they don't get more in till next season.
ahhhhhhh that will be why then, thanks ..... guess i'll have to look for some alternative ..... hhhhmmmmmm ..... *puts thinking hat on, the one with a large D on it and sits in the corner*
I got some in B&Q a couple of weeks ago - not particularly cheap but needed some good long ones - think they're 8' long in a pack of about a dozen.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
MY WILKINSONS ALWAYS HAVE A SUPPLY OF LONG CANES, ALWAYS A LOT CHEAPER THAN GARDEN CENTRES. MY LOCAL GARDEN CENTRE WANTED £3.95 COMPARED TO THE SAME THING IN WILKINSONS FOR 89p!
I get long pieces of wood ideal for canes from my local industrial estate where there are carpentry workshops you'll be amazed what pieces of left overs they throw out.
we sell 8ft canes for 20 pence each when i am doing my Arkright act in our shop not bad aye and you would be surprised how many people come in for 5 and some buy them and saw them in half jacob marley
