  • my commendeered corner

I've finally sorted out the corner of my parent's garden that i pinched. I've planted carrots, beetroon, cabbage (greyhound) and lettuces. So i thought i would put a picture on here even though there is nothing really to show yet but wish me luck and hopefully i'll put a picture up in a few weeks with things growing. eek! i've got lots of stuff germinating in the grrenhouse too! looks like i'll have to take over some more of the garden

if anyone has some ideas of what else i can grow lwt me know, oh and thanks to Cloud i've got some green bean seeds on the way too

Way to go. Looking good. You'll have to be crafty and keep sneakily extending the part of the garden that you are culivating. Mind you, when the rest of the family start tasting that lovely fresh veg they'll be wanting you to extend your patch. Have fun.

      No one will notice.

Way to go! Nice raised bed. Is that edging fence?

yeah i'll just move slowly and hope that they don't notice lol

i'm the only one who does the gardening anyway, well dad is obsessed with the lawn but i'm not digging into that. they had it all done, yes it's edging fence lol, while i was away at uni but when i came back it was just a weed infested jungle. i only had one room and no garden down there so never really thought about it. not sure when it became a good idea but in the last week or so it's been occupying the chunk of my brain that isn't trying to get me out of the bowels of unemployment, i hate job hunting !

Looking good Annette! Its a bit like the way I started last year, a bit of reclaimed lawn next to the garage wall. This year I have an allotment, so watch out, it is very addictive

What sort of job are you looking for? I would add your veg growing onto the cv as an interest/hobby - it does say something about you and your personality and will attract potential employers I'm sure. Good luck!!

ok thanks for the advice, i'll put it onto my C.V, it might interest someone. i'm looking for any kind of job at the moment, been unemployed for what seems like forever. what they say about having a degree helping you to get a good job is a crock of (well you know what) if anything it's hindering me because people won't even give you a part time job if they think you are going to leave and get some fantastic career with your degree. it makes me so mad.

but i have turned my energies towards my little corner of the garden, i've never grown veg before and i'm finding it quite addictive so far so why not.

p.s anyone who wants to employ me...........(only joking!)
