im particuarly talking about pak choi and watercress at the moment. both have had little flowers come up the past couple of days- does this mean i should rip them up now?? i read somewhere that after they flower they are useless- and will taste bad. can anyone shed any light? this is my first time growing and they are not big at all and although i have eaten some watercress i have had no pak choi as they are really very small

both our pak choi & watercress have flowered they don't taste any different to before. I think they stop or slow down producing leaves once they flower so I'm just eating up what we've got and then will plant some more in a week or so.
Our pak choi looks very different to shop bought stuff- it's grown quite tall, but we've been using the stalk chopped up in stir fries, casseroles, etc...
