Broccoli? When to cut?

I have some rather small, but beautiful looking broccoli heads on my giant plants. When is it time to cut them? Will there be another head if I take the small ones now?

I was rather hoping for a big giant head, but hey, it's my first broccoli, I will take what I can get

If your brocolli look like the ones in the shop it is time to cut them, once they appear that is the size they are going to be they will not grow any bigger, the next thing that will happen if you wait to long is that they will bolt, once you have taken the main head you should get more florets appearing

What variety did you grow? You need to cut the head when the little green "buds" are still tight. If you leave them too long they get loose and turn into yellow flowers - not what you want at all. If you cut them now, just below the head, they will produce side shoots with smaller but definitely useable heads.
