  • New Plot - What do I do next??

    Hi

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on what to do next!!

I've had a plot for just over three months and in that time I have cleared it (it's only 5 rods!) planted 2 rows of maincrop potatoes, courgettes started in the greenhouse (now fruiting!!), tomatoes, broad beans, runners, french beans and some raised beds with sweetcorn, lettuce, carrots, onions and radish.

Now that everything is in and growing nicely (if I do say so myself lol!!) most of my time is spent keeping on top of the weeding and clearing the remaining 3ft (which used to be a compost heap/dumping ground by the looks) I'm wondering what I should be planting now? I don't really have much space left (until that heap is shifted!) but should I be starting off anything to plant later in the summer?? Or intercropping maybe?? Also my potatoes should be ready by the end of July - what would be best to plant after them??

    Any suggestions greatfully received!

    Thanks

Today I sowed some more beetroot, lettuce, radish, spring onion & lettuce, to keep me going. I have also planted out my kale, cabbage & PSB seedlings.

Spring cabbage could still be sown now as well as what Two_Sheds said. You could also have a look round your local garden centre to see if they have any ready grown plants such as leeks, swedes, Purple Sprouting broccoli etc for winter cropping. And Autumn planting onion sets, garlic & shallots will be available in a month or so.
