Drying garlic in wet weather?

I pulled up one of my garlics today and was very pleased to have a nice, fat white bulb there.

But how do I dry it? I don't have a greenhouse and as the weather is so wet at the moment I can't leave it outside. Would hung up in the garage be OK?

I haven't decided whether to pull the rest up yet or leave them until the weather gets better, depends how well this one dries!

Drying in the garage should be fine.I dry mine in the shed.

I think as long as it's dry and has a good airflow it should be fine.....will be lifting my garlic this weekend as they've gone "weak at the knees".....

Garlic is best dried indoors BusyLizzie so hang it up in the garage.

If you leave it in the ground it will rot, so lift it and bring it home. Hang in the garage or the kitchen - mine is on a three tier wire vegetable rack at the moment. Getting put in the garden on nice dry days and brought inside when it's wet.

I dug mine up last night, and told OH I was putting it into the garage to dry. This morning, when we were putting up the boarding in the attic space, he said 'really smells of garlic in here, wonder why?' I wondered why I' bothered to tell him!
