Even down here in Cornwall we are not getting the fruit ripened yet. I have Gardeners Delight and hundreds and thousands and although the fruit has set in some places, nothing has ripened. My Mum has hers in the greenhouse and are all green so far too. Green Tomato Chutney alround if something doesnt happen soon.
(Courgettes are doing well though, especially oneball!)

I think I'm picking from the fourth truss, certainly the third, of Gardeners Delight, and first truss finished.

Started picking second truss of Moneymaker and Ailsa Craig

Hi im new and have a tom plant and it has loads of toms on it but they are all green still. Do i need to take some leaves away so that the sun gets to them? It is in a big pot in the garden and is fed once a week with tom food. Thanks

I am getting more an more disheartened with the sub artic too. I took advantage of having them as my main crop tomato as theye were a freebie packet of seeds on the front of GYO magazine and at this stage its looking like my tomato crop will be scant few. Just lots of flowers an hardly any fruit. I wont be growing them again , thats for sure.

I feel quite cross and let down because i needed a bumper harvest this year for cherry tomato chutney and now have to wait untill next year ...grrr.

We've had a few ripe cherry toms (very tasty indeed), but our main crops of beef and standard varieties are in the main still very green!

Did spot this today tho, the first beefsteak toms starting to turn, so hopefully they will soon start cropping!

had some lovely gardeners delight - very sweet and tasty, my other toms, which i dont know the name of, are going great guns and lots of them, but they are still green,

but they have annoyed me, as a whole branch fell off my toms today as they toppled over, i am sure the toms on there must be beefs as they are huge and weighing down a lot, i lost about 5 toms and some flowers, never thought i would be so annoyed!! argh!!
