I have these and they are gorgeous... the website I got them from have a testimony on there that says they are delicious and tender between 2 and 7 inches. I picked mine at the length in the pictures . They are cropping really well... faster than we can eat them.

I'm pleased to read that. I got some from the Heritage Seed Library and the ones that have set are now about and inch or two long. I'm really looking forward to these and will save some for next year's seed too. - Sustainability - that's my latest word. (It was biodiversity when I was trying to excuse the number of weeds on me plot!)

Ok silly question - I've got these growing too but can't remember which batch of plants is which (and the INDELIBLE pencil wasn't!) so what colour flowers do these have? I need to distinguish these from the Soissons which also have the flat pods.

I wouldn't eat them raw. They are similar to French beans which contain a toxin and should be boiled to destroy this.

The flowers are the prettiest pinky-mauve. Really lovely.
